Rick Block - Recognized by Newsweek as “one of the top 25 pulpit rabbis in America,” Rick has 36 years of experience in Jewish communal leadership on the local, national, and international levels. Prior to the rabbinate, he graduated with honors from the Wharton School, and from Yale Law School. After clerking for a federal district judge, he served on active duty in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney and a faculty member of the Naval Justice School, Newport, RI. Thereafter, he practiced law in San Francisco. Rick led the World Union for Progressive Judaism, headquartered in Jerusalem, as its president, and he chairs the Past Presidents Council of the Central Conference of American Rabbis. He is a veteran officer, trustee, and investment committee member of the Reform Pension Board of the Reform Movement of Judaism. On Clubhouse, he founded the Rabbinic Chevreh. He is a dual citizen of the U.S. and Israel.
