Richard Fiedotin - Richard has devoted his entire career to healthcare, starting with medical school and surgical residency, during which he developed an interest in healthcare information technology. After his training, he served as a Senior Clinical Systems Consultant at HBO & CO. (acquired by McKesson), supporting the development and sales of its ambulatory electronic medical record.
Richard subsequently co-founded Epocrates (NASDAQ: EPOC, acquired by athenahealth), provider of the world’s most popular mobile clinical application platform. He later co-founded Benefitter Insurance Solutions, a SaaS solution provider in the employer-mediated individual health insurance market. Benefitter was acquired by HealthMarkets, the largest individual health insurance agency in the US, where he served as EVP and Chief Innovation Officer.
Richard currently serves on the board of directors of TRC (Therapeutic Research Center), a leading provider of educational materials in the pharmacist space.
Richard is very involved in non-profit organizations, serving on the board of the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco as well as, in the past, on the board of the SF JCRC and SF JCC. He enjoys marathons and Ironman triathlons.
He has a BA from Penn, an MD from Cornell and an MBA from Stanford.
