Founder and President of Houlihan Lokey, Founder Merchant Banking firm of Friedman Enterprises.

Ken Friedman - Ken Friedman was the Founder and former President of the Investment Banking broker dealer of Houlihan Lokey . With offices throughout the world, Houlihan Lokey became a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange. Friedman was on the board of directors of the Investment Bank, Investment Management, and Business Valuation entities of Houlihan Lokey.

Subsequent to his Houlihan Lokey career, he founded the Merchant Banking firm of Friedman Enterprises. In addition to providing investment banking services, Friedman has focused on investing in a very significant number of companies of which he was either a co-founder or early stage investor. The investments have included a broad array of industries, including but not limited to security hardware, a retail high end eyewear chain in Macao, direct to consumer, food products, social media, SAAS businesses and a number of technology companies. Friedman is also currently an investor in three Venture Capital funds, of which two are in Israel and one is aligned with senior individuals at Stanford University. Friedman has served on a number of Boards of Directors as well as Advisory Boards.

In addition to his for-profit pursuits, Friedman is currently Chairman of the UCLA-Santa Monica Medical Center Board of Advisors and the Integrative Medicine Collaborative spanning the entire UCLA Health Care System. He has also been a fund raising agent for 37 years for Harvard Business School. Friedman has been a frequent guest lecturer at USC Marshall School of Business to their MBA and Undergraduate programs, with an emphasis on Entrepreneurism, Investments, and Finance.

Friedman has his MBA from Harvard Business School and is an inveterate world wide adventure motorcyclist, surfer, and poet.
