Calanit Valfer - Calanit is co-Founder and Managing Partner of the Elah Fund. Elah identifies, invests in, and partners with companies with the potential to become global leaders in their industries, generating outsized returns responsibly. Previously, she was a partner at Nexus Israel, a strategic advisory firm for owners and investors that specialized in international growth optimization. She was the Chief of Staff of the Chairman of Bank Hapoalim, Israel's leading bank, and Senior Aide to the Head of Global Private Banking at the Bank. Before joining the Bank, she was a management consultant with Greenwich Associates, the international strategy firm focused on financial institutions. Prior to her career in finance, Calanit was a social entrepreneur. She founded and was the 1st of CEO of Nisan Young Women Leaders, an empowerment program for Jewish and Arab Israelis that was active nationally for over 15 years. She was a member of the Israeli delegation to the historic UN 4th World Conference on Women and also worked with the founding team of Acumen. Calanit is a volunteer at the Emergency Line Centers for Victims of Sexual Assault. Calanit received her BA, MIA (Honors) and MBA from Columbia University.
